New love of my life!

I have had my eye on a Leather Ted Baker bag since the start of the season and finally decided to cave in and buy it when House of Fraser had their brand event on.

The bag was originally priced at £229 but with the House of Fraser discount I got the bag for £183.

The bag is made of black bovine leather with rose gold hardware and a polyester lining.

My favourite thing about this bag is that the section on the front of the bag detaches so that it can be used as a clutch bag……… so 2 bags for the price of 1!

The rose gold hardware and winged sides are very on-trend however the bag is still a classic style.

The interior of the bag is in a beautiful monochrome flower print and has 2 small open pockets and one larger zip pocket.

The bag also comes with a purple dust bag to ensure that the bag can be easily and safely stored.

This is the perfect bag for anyone looking for a classic bag with on-trend details!

A very pink basket!

I went in to boots to grab the new Garnier Miceller Water as my L’oreal one is almost empty, but of course I was tempted by a couple of other products.

So I picked up the Garnier Miceller Water which was the reason that I went in to Boots. It comes in a 400ml size and has much nicer packaging that the L’oreal version. It was fairly effective at removing my makeup but I have only used it a couple of times so cannot tell what effect it has on my skin yet. I can already tell you that it is not os good as Bioderma but then it is half the price and much easier to get in the UK.

No7 had an offer where you get a free gift if you buy any two products, so I picked up 2 new blushes.

The first blush I picked up was one of there Pop & Glow Cream Blushes in the colour Rose Blossom. This is a beautiful bright pink which really looks fresh on my porcelain skin. I thought that this product might be quite hard to blend but it was surprisingly easy.

The second blusher I picked up was a limited edition powder blush palette in Peony Petals.

This is such a beautiful product and the packaging is really nice as well. This blush has quite a bit of shimmer in it, which I wouldn’t usually go for, but the colour is so delicate and beautiful that I think it will be beautiful for summer. This colour is really easy to apply and has good colour payoff like all No7 blushes.

Because I purchased 2 No7 products I got their spring free gift.

The gift contains:

  • Skin Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid in Peach – this is fairly shimmery and I don’t think it would work well with a camera flash
  • High Shine Lip Crayon in Delicate Pink – this is a lovely natural pink BUT it has glitter particles in it which is very strange
  • Stay Perfect Eye Shadow in Cappuccino Trio (I don’t know why it is called trio when there is only one colour)
  • Exceptional Definition Mascara in Black – I haven’t tested this yet because I’m saving it to try when I go skiing next week

The last thing I picked up was a box of Strawberry & Cream Lindt. These are the best chocolates EVER!! Boots is the only shop that I can find them in so I can’t resist picking up a box whenever I’m shopping!

Bobble water bottle

I have been a fan of the bobble water bottles for a couple of years now. For those who don’t know what a bobble water bottle is, it is a bottle that filters the water as you drink.

I decided to do this post because I discovered today that they now do a larger size with a more practical cap for the gym. My old bobble (the black one below) holds 750ml and came with a clear cap. The problem with this is that because the cap comes off completely, you need two hands to take a drink (not practical for the gym). The new bottles (on the left below) feature a tethered cap that is attached to the bottle so more gym practical and also contains a little loop that you can use to carry the bottle. Plus, it holds 1 ltr so I can work out without having to refill my water bottle.

Jo Malone consultation

Today me and my mom visited Jo Malone in Selfridges in Birmingham. We had a complimentary hand and arm massage which we received with christmas gifts. They are still giving out these complimentary vouchers when you make any purchase from a Jo Malone stand.

The consultation started with the assistant giving us testers of different scents to work out which one was our favourite. My favourite was Peony and Blush Suede. The assistant then mixed it with other fragrances to make my signature fragrance. She mixed the Peony and Blush Suede with English Pear and Freesia. This combination was deliciously sweet and floral. These perfumes are definitely going to be added to my wish list!

The lovely assistant then gave me an arm massage using the English Pear and Freesia body cream followed by spraying the Peony and Blush Suede cologne. This was brilliant as I had never considered mixing fragrances by layering body cream and cologne.

This was definitely an experience I would recommend as it has given me ideas for fragrance combinations I would never have thought of and that are unique!

NOTD Nails Inc Park West and Highbury

I paired Park West and Highbury by Nails Inc which were from my latest purchase from Nails Inc

I could not take a photo that did this manicure justice

Highbury is a beautiful glitter top coat made up of white, gold and pale pink glitters

It gives a beautiful feminine edge to the manicure without being too over the top glittery

Nails Inc bargain

Last week Nails Inc had an offer that was too good to resist: 8 polishes for £20. There were three different collections. There was the collection that I purchase which was the more pastel/neutral option, there was a brights collection and there was an in-between collection with bright pastels. All three collections were beautiful but I chose this collection as it was the only collection where I didn’t own most of the colours.

From L-R (top row): St Catherine’s Dock, Park West, Highbury, Little George Street

From L-R (bottom row): Chelsea Green, Fitzroy Road, Holland Park Gardens, Holland Park Avenue

*The only colours I already own in the set are Holland Park Gardens and Holland Park Avenue, however the set was still a steal for the 6 polishes for £20 as this works out at just over £3 per polish. That’s even cheaper than drugstore polishes!!!

St Catherine’s Dock is a cream nude pink with a lilac undertone. It appears much paler in real life than in the picture

Park West is a pale off white colour with a hint of grey

Highbury is a glitter top coat consisting of white bar and circle glitters, pale pink hexagonal glitters and gold multi-shape glitters

Little George Street is a powder blue cream polish. It is appearing much darker in the photo than in real life

Chelsea Green is a silver base with black and silver small glitter particles

Fitzroy Road is a nude brown-toned peach cream polish. It has a slight dusky pink undertone

Holland Park Gardens is a very pale olive green cream polish. I already own this polish and I have to say that it is one of my all time favourite nail polishes across all brands

Holland Park Avenue is a rich warm brown cream polish

Some of the colours in the collection are available on but I am unsure as to whether some were limited edition colours or are to be released soon

Mini Bicester Haul and NOTD

Me and my mom went to Bicester Village Outlet yesterday

I was very restrained and only purchased three items

The first item was a yellow and pink Ted Baker pencil case. The usual retail price on these is £19 and I paid £12 for this one so roughly a third off. They also had a black one with pale pink bow for the same price

I bought two items from ‘The Cosmetics Company’

I purchased the Clinique bottom lash mascara in 01 black

The brush is tiny so perfect for getting the lashes in the corners of your eyes. I used it this morning and was impressed with it but only time will tell if its a new must have

This retails at £12 and I paid £8.50 so a discount of £3.50

I also purchased a MAC nail polish in Soiree which is a light rose gold colour. This retails for £11 and I paid £7.75 so a discount of £3.25. This product is still available on It applied nicely and was full coverage in two coats so I will definitely be purchasing some other MAC colours

So in total if I had paid full price for these three items it would have cost me £42, however through shopping at Bicester Village I only paid £28.25 for the three items so I made a saving of £13.75

One thing to note about Biscester Village is that many of the brands are high end brands such as Prada, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Mulberry, but there are still bargains to be had for someone with a more modest budget from shops such as The Cosmetics Company, Cath Kidston, Links London and The North Face
