My new favourite blush!

estee lauder electric pink

I picked up this little beauty from Bicester Village for £17.50, on sale from £25

This is Estee Lauder’s Electric Pink!

I had heard rave reviews about this so snapped it up when I saw it and I was not disappointed. This blush is very pigmented and is such a beautiful colour. It looks scary in the pan but is in fact a ‘natural flush’ colour which is very flattering. Plus, it lasts all day without fading at all!

I would definitely recommend picking this blush up. My new favourite blush!

NOTD: Essie Fiji

essie fiji

This is Essie’s Fiji which is a very pale pink with a white undertone.

I am loving white based pastels at the moment so for me this is the perfect summer shade.

The formula is fantastic and this photo was with 2 coats and is fully opaque.

Would definitely recommend for a classy summer look!

Favourite concealers

favourite concealers 2014

SOAP AND GLORY KICK ASS CONCEALER | I have this in the shade ‘light’. This is a duo concealer that also comes with a finishing powder so is an all in one product. The one concealer is yellow toned for concealing blemishes and the other one is peach toned for concealing dark circles under the eyes. This product has a lovely creamy texture and is fantastic for a holiday as you only need to take the one product. This is a bargain at £10 considering that it is very similar to the bobby brown concealer duos!

COLLECTION LASTING PERFECTION CONCEALER | I have this in shades 1 and 2 which I mix to get my perfect shade. This is a cult beauty product that has become a staple for concealing blemishes. In a review last year I said that I was not a fan of this product because it made my eyes very sensitive when used under the eyes, however as a blemish concealer it is fantastic. It has no shimmer or highlighter in it at all so is ideal for breakouts. They also have a good selection of colours with shade 1 being the palest concealer I have ever discovered.

BENEFIT ERASE PASTE | I have this in shade 1 ‘fair’. This is a very strange almost gel like texture. I apply it using my finger and it blends beautifully. It has a peach tone so I only use it under my eyes and not on blemishes. It gives a lovely natural look but my only criticism of this product is that it smells kind of like playdoh!

RIMMEL WAKE ME UP CONCEALER | I have no idea what shade I have as all the writing has work off but I would guess that it is the palest shade. This has almost ran out and I will definitely be repurchasing it straight away. It is my all time favourite under eye concealer. It gives a very natural look whilst still covering dark circles. It also has a slight shimmer to it that really brightens your under eyes! Also at around the £7 mark it is well worth trying!

Favourite spring polishes

Spring nail polish favourites 2014

From L – R

NAILS INC ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDENS | This is a beautiful minty blue colour with a cream finish and was from their 2013 spring collection

OPI YOU CALLIN ME A LYRE? | This is a beautiful pale pink colour with a semi sheer finish. This was from OPI’s New York City Ballet collection. This gives the nails a beautiful healthy and natural look

NAILS INC NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL | This is a true bright yellow colour with an opaque finish. I am not sure which collection this was from

NAILS INC HOLLAND PARK GARDENS | This is a beautiful pale green with a cream finish. This was from their garden party collection and is simply beautiful

OPI KISS ME I’M BRAZILIAN | This is a new favourite for me which is a hot pink with a slightly nude undertone which makes it much more wearable than  neon. This is from OPI’s latest Brazil collection

ESSIE FIND ME AN OASIS | This is a beautiful pale blue with a  semi sheer finish, however you can make it opaque in 3 coats. This is from Essie’s Resort Fling collection which is spot on trend

NAILS INC MAYFAIR LANE GEL EFFECT | This is a pale pink in a gel effect finish. This is a beautiful all year round colour with a fantastic high-gloss finish

May Birchbox

IMG_3069_Fotor

LIZ EARLE CLEANSE & POLISH HOT CLOTH CLEANSER | Full size £13.25 100ml | Sample 30 ml £3.97 | I have used this product before so I know that it is brilliant and I was very pleased to see that they had included the muslin cloth

SOIGNE BOTANIQUE NAIL POLISH IN CREME AU BEURRE | Full size £11 10ml | It was nice to receive a full size nail polish and the colour looks lovely. I have never heard of this brand before so will keep you posted

BENEFIT THEY’RE REAL MASCARA | Full size £19.50 8.5g | Sample 3g £6.88 | This is a fantastic mascara that I have had before so I am glad to have this sample to use it again

BEAUTY PROTECTOR PROTECT SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER | Full size £14 (Doesn’t say size) | This is a birchbox exclusive brand that is all sorts of nasties-free so I am interested to try this out, however it would have been nice to have a more well-known brand

AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES REVIVE MORNING BATH & SHOWER OIL | Full size £40 55ml | Sample 3ml £2.18 | I am really glad to have received this product as I have heard amazing things about their bath oils so am excited to try this out

Overall I am pleased with this months box. It is nice to see come popular brands in there. However, some of the sample sizes are a little bit small such as the bath oil. I like to try products out more than once before deciding what I think of them and the small samples don’t allow for that. That being said, I still look forward to receiving my birchbox every single month

A very naughty haul!

IMG_3011_Fotor

I went a bit shopping mad this past week and ended up with this little lot!

First of all the scarf…….. I love the contrast of the grey and bright pink…….. absolutely perfect for spring! I picked this up in Primark for £4!

IMG_3004_Fotor_Collage

Next up is this beautiful nude lipstick. I have been looking for the perfect nude lip but all the ones I have tried haven’t hit the mark, whereas this colour is perfect. This is from L’Oreal Paris’ Color Riche Collection Privee in the colour Doutzen’s Nude. It is the perfect nude that is not too brown but not too pink!

IMG_3015_Fotor_Collage

Boots had 3 for 2 so I also picked up this Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Mascara! I accidentally picked up the waterproof version and I am so disappointed with this mascara. After I had applied two coats my lashes barely looked different to having no mascara on. Maybe the non-waterproof one would be better!

IMG_3016_Fotor

The last item I picked up from Boots 3 for 2 offer was this L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique concealer in Light. I didn’t think that this concealer had very good coverage but I like it for applying over another concealer to highlight the under-eye.

IMG_3020_Fotor_Collage

I have always wanted to try Physicians Formula but it is not normally available in the UK. However, I discovered this in TKMaxx. It was the only product they had by this brand but I am so glad that I found it. The bronzer is lovely and surprisingly it isn’t too orange for my pale skin and the blusher is a lovely coral colour. This product also has the added benefit of having a mirror and small brush underneath. I am definitely looking forward to trying more products from this brand!

IMG_3026_Fotor_Collage

I picked up some more Invisibobble hair bands. I have these in the yellow and they are amazing. They do not dent your hair and they prevent getting tight hairs when your hair is up! If you wear your hair up often then definitely check these out!

IMG_3013_Fotor

Beautybay had an extra 10% off over easter weekend so I picked up these two summer colours. The pink is from the Brazil Collection and is ‘Kiss Me I’m Brazilian’. The purple is ‘You’re such a Budapest’ from the Euro Centrale collection! These are both must have colours for spring/summer and have a fantastic formula!

IMG_3012_Fotor

Last but definitely not least, Nails Inc had an 8 piece special collection for only £20……. I couldn’t resist!

From L – R (Top) : Hay Hill, Weighhouse Street, Providence Court, Adam’s Row

From L – R (Bottom) : Palace Gate, Beaufort Street, Kensington Square, St Catherine’s Dock

There is not one colour in this collection that I am not in love with! They are all beautiful colours with fantastic formulas so keep your eyes peeled for some NOTD’s using these beauties!

Nails Inc in InStyle!

IMG_3031_Fotor

May’s issue of InStyle magazine came out today only costing £2.50 at Tesco. The free gift with the magazine is a Nails Inc nail polish. There are three different colours so naturally I bought all three!

IMG_3033_Fotor

From L – R: Copacabana Coral, Sao Paolo Streets, Sugarloaf Sunset.

Copacabana is a red coral colour. It would be perfect for toes in the summer but I’m not really a fan of it.

Sao Paolo Streets is a grey toned nude colour. This is a beautiful colour but is very similar to Colville Mews.

Sugarloaf Sunset is a beautiful neon pink colour. It is almost identical to OPI’s Kiss Me I’m Brazilian so save yourself some money and buy the magazine rather than buying the OPI colour for £11.95!

IMG_3037_Fotor

The magazine also comes with a code for 25% off at NailsInc.com.
