Autumn Lip Essentials

Blistex Relief Cream | This is definitely my number 1 winter lip essential. This cream is designed to relieve cracked lips but is also for use on cold sores. I use this when my lips are in their worst condition and have cracked. This has quite a menthol/medicinal taste but really works. A product for those days when nothing else will cut it. The only criticism I have is that due to the metal tube, it is not handbag practical. If the tube gets squished, when you open it it just keeps coming out so is a huge waste of the product.

Hawaiian Tropic Lip Gloss in Mango Papaya | This will seem like a strange product to have in an autumn post. For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, Hawaiian Tropic produce sun cream. However this lip gloss tastes so god damn good that it is an all year round essential. Plus it has spf 25 so you’re keeping your lips protected all year round!

Lanolips Lemonaid | I held off buying this product for months due to the price. It is £8.99 which seems ridiculous for a lip balm. I finally succumbed to temptation and do not feel at all guilty. This lip balm is amazing. It so so thick it really does moisturise your lips for hours after application. This would be a fantastic product for overnight moisturisation, however due to the pretty shimmer I prefer to use this during the day as I don’t normally wear lipstick.  It tastes amazing and it has a slight pretty shimmer. There’s nothing else to say. A fantastic product!

Lush Mint Juleps Lip Scrub | This is the perfect accompaniment to all the other products listed. Lush’s range of lip scrubs are made from sugar so you lick them off after scrubbing. I use this before AM and PM and follow with either Lanolips or my 8 Hour Cream. No mess and they taste amazing. My favourite is the mint juleps one which tastes like mint chocolate, however all the other flavours are divine. This gives the perfect base for applying lip balm and lip colour.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream | This is a cult beauty product and certainly lives up to its reputation. I use this overnight to keep my lips hydrated. I have to confess that I have an awful habit of biting my lips when i’m stressed so this really helps to repair them overnight. You can also use this product on other areas such as the cuticles or patches of dry skin. Quite pricey but lasts for ages!

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist | I bought this product purely for the name but was pleasantly surprised. I don’t normally wear much colour on my lips at all so I went for the nudist shade. This is a gorgeous natural shade with an edible vanilla scent. These apply nicely and last for a few hours. An added bonus is that the packaging is handbag friendly.
