For any girl like myself who has a ridiculous nail polish collection but likes the longevity of a gel polish, there is finally the perfect product.
You apply your regular polish and let this dry completely. Then you apply a coat of the polish to gel and cure this in your LED lamp for 30 seconds. Ta dah you have nails that last for 2 weeks in any colour that you want!
This only lasts around 2 weeks so not as long as a regular gel polish, however this is easier to remove, simply buff the top layer and then hold an acetone soaked cotton pad over the nail.
I have been contemplating trying ‘Perfect Forumula’ nail polish, and finally caved and purchased the QVC special value set last week.
I applied the base coat, 2 coats of colour and then the top coat! This has to be the worst nail polish I have tried in a long time!
The formula was very thin and was streaky even after two coats. The formula was also not plumping. All I will say is that the model on QVC must have had 10 coats on or very good lighting! I kept the polish on for one day before going back to my trusted Nails Inc! I will be sending the Perfect Formula set back to QVC and will not repurchase this brand!
I hope this helps anyone that has also been interested in this!
I start a new job this week so wanted fairly neutral nails but with some personality. Hence why I chose this combination. the colour is stunning yet still professional and the glitter is delicately subtle.
This colour was extremely difficult to get a true photo of!
This is a white with a slight sparkle! It is simply stunning!
The sparkles isn’t particularly noticeable on the nail but really makes the colour look bright and fresh!
A pretty colour with a beautiful formula!
First of all, yes I got a little over excited that my nails matches my phone charger so had to take a photo!
For me this is the most perfect summer colour. It is the perfect cross between a pink and a coral and would suit any skin tone!
And to make it even better it is from Nails Inc’s NailKale range which contains kale to nourish and strengthen the nail.
If you want a colour that you won’t want to take off all summer then this is the one!
This polish is advertised as ‘2 coats drying completely hard in 6.5 minutes’ so I was excited to try this product.
I chose this lovely nude pink colour.
First of all, the colour is much more yellow than I was expecting from a nice pink! It’s not a horrible colour but is definitely not as pretty as I was expecting.
And worst of all this polish does not dry hard in 6.5 minutes. if anything it took longer than my usual Nails Inc to dry!
The formula was not the best and was rather runny!
This really wasn’t the standard I was expecting from a £15 nail polish!
Credit for this design goes to MissJenFabulous!
I have watched her YouTube videos for a couple of years and am always inspired by her designs.

-OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (Off White)
– NailsInc Notting Hill Carnival (Yellow)
– NailsInc Royal Botanical Gardens (Blue)
– NailsInc Hyde Park Square (Pink)
This took me only an hour from start to finish! A really easy nail design for the summer!
I have features this colour on my blog before and still love it every bit as much now!
This is priced at £20 but the quality is clear from both the bottle and the application.
This colour has a very ‘clean’ look and looks like a professional gel manicure! I used the Dior base and top coats with this to give the most perfect flawless finish.
The picture really can’t do this glossy polish justice!
Try one yourself and you won’t be disappointed!
I held off on purchasing this colour for months due to it being considerably more expensive than the normal Nails Inc polishes!
I finally caved after seeing photo after photo of this colour and realising that I need it in my life!
This is the Judo White polish. The formula is fantastic, as with all of Nails Inc’s polishes, and the colour is the perfect mix between a white and a nude. Even though the price tag is pretty ridiculous (£25) this colour is spectacular!
I love the look of gel nails, the glossiness and the longevity, but I don’t like the fact that you have to keep the same colour on your nails for a couple of weeks. For this reason I had never purchased a gel nails kit.
However, as life has become busier I have realised the benefits of adding a gel nails kit to my collection, and last week I caved and picked up the Sensationail kit. This kit includes the UV lamp, top/base coat, cleanser and 2 colours. Of course I then picked up another 2 colours!
I do not intend to use this kit on a regular basis as I am sceptical about the safety of using UV lamps. We all no the reasons why you should buy suncream with UVA and UVB protection. However, as a one-off for when I don’t have time for my nails to dry naturally, it is perfect. I should not that I do put sun protection lip balm around my cuticles to protect them from any harmful effects of the lamp!
I must say I am very happy with the results that this kit gives. The polish has lasted for almost two weeks and is showing no signs of chipping. It is also ridiculously easy to use and does look like a professional gel manicure.
I will only be using this kit for the odd occasion when I need to be able to do my nails in 30 minutes or if I’m going on holiday and need a manicure to last for a couple of weeks.
I really would be wary of using a UV lamp on a regular basis as the jury is still out as to whether it causes damage!
